I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their true nature, which is joyful and free.

When we release those inner resources, life feels lighter, and laughter comes easier. The journey to self-discovery is about balancing your energy and embracing the parts of yourself that have been hurt or rejected. It’s about cultivating self-compassion and acceptance.

No wonder I had a temper! I was awkward and shy, but deep down, I just needed permission to be a messy, energetic kid who could make mistakes and laugh about them.

Now, I admire my younger self for her tenacity—and for her willingness to embrace the mess. That’s what I help others do, too—take small, imperfect steps toward healing, self-compassion, and joy.

Growing up, I was taught to always look neat, be polite, and not draw attention—quite the challenge for a clumsy, pigeon-toed little girl with a bar brace on her shoes.

In addition to The Perfectionist’s Dilemma, I’m also the author of: The Kindness Cure: How the Science of Compassion Can Heal Your Heart and Your World.

I wrote it for my daughters. It’s a good primer on living life with more ease and kindness.

I'm so glad you landed here! I hope you find what you are looking for.

With gratitude,

Tara
